The Scholar of War

Since the dawn of written history, the Jagh Mountains have divided the continent of Thera. A mountain range so vast and wide, nobody had been known to traverse across. For millennia, civilizations rose and fell on either side, each wondering what might exist past those snowy peaks. Adventurers froze climbing the impossible heights. Miners ran into impenetrable bedrock. Sailors never returned from voyages in search of the mountains’ end. For most, the Jaghs were simply the edge of the world, a line on a map drawn by the gods themselves. Legends promised lands long forgotten, but legends were hardly taken as truth. That was until, a man from the North made his Crossing in a flying ship, forever altering all of Thera.

Nearly a century later, the world appears to be on the brink of a new era. The first war the South has seen in over a thousand years has broken out between Dain and Kyren. Tensions rise as the brutal conflict threatens to draw in the other nations. To make matters worse, the North have suddenly closed all ferries across the Jaghs, once more dividing the world. In the middle of this chaos are four individuals. The Scholar, doing his best to understand this devastating war. The Wind Knight of Dain, eyes set on revenge against the Kyrenians. The Young Prince of Baelom, striving to live up to his father’s legacy. The Foreigner, seeking the Deity Ishum, hoping to find the origin of Airiya. Will their actions be enough to stop the fires of war from spreading, or will they only ignite yet another conflict?”
